Women around the world face significant discrimination, resulting in disparities in education, income, wealth, and health. In India, these inequalities are stark: while the literacy rate for men stands at 80.9%, for women it is only 64.6%, and their participation in the labor force is just 29%. Women own less than 1% of the world’s property and account for only 10% of global income, highlighting the need for targeted interventions to uplift and empower them.

Our Mission

At Janhit Sewa Foundation, we are committed to empowering women through sustainable livelihood opportunities. Our programs aim to help women gain financial independence and become entrepreneurs. We offer a range of training programs in areas such as Computer Software Skills, Tailoring & Embroidery, and Fashion Designing. Additionally, we provide financial support by facilitating loans and offering free sewing machines and sewing kits to help women start their own businesses.

Training in Tailoring & Embroidery

Our Tailoring & Embroidery training program is a key component of our Women Empowerment initiative. Every quarter, we conduct a 3-month course where women learn essential skills in tailoring and embroidery. Upon completion of the training, participants receive a free branded sewing machine and a tool kit, enabling them to begin their own businesses and earn an independent income.

Computer Training

We also provide computer training programs aimed at equipping educated yet unemployed women with essential digital skills. These skills help them secure jobs in today’s technology-driven world, opening doors to new opportunities.
